Come-Unity

Yes there are underlying issues

Police powers misused

This is not about unemployment

Youths rioting for enjoyment

For the want of new trainers from JD’s

In a few weeks there’ll be back with their CV’s

Burning a man’s shop that he’s worked hard to stock

You need to stop and pause…are you fighting for a cause?

At the scene of Mark’s death only three reefs

Seems you guys rioting are just dyamn TIEFS

News coverage focused on Ealing

Covering affluent areas more appealing

Those areas that are not considered the nicest

Are left alone to their own devices

Pack animals running with their mates

Like a scene from Rise of the Apes

Come together and take a stand

To show them that WE WILL NOT STAND

….for the rape of the place we call home

One man cannot do this alone

I for one am willing to oppose the few

….For if not me… then who?

  1. This is really powerful and the rhyme is lovely. Is this about you and where you live?

    • Yes. But the media is not showing what is really happening here. The news is only covering the affluent areas and I do not live in one. A guy posted a photo of himself posing with all the stuff he had stolen. The majority of those causing the unrest are below 16, homes have been set on fire, people have had the doors to their homes kicked in. the lady in this link stood up to them

There is no video coverage showing that they beat her up afterwards

I’ve been anaylsing the madness and have come to a conclusion. Someone told me a while ago that people who are unfit and are in no position to bring children into this world will do so recklessly because they have government support. As a result these children are many (it seems) and they are focused on instant gratification and blinded from the bigger picture and their role in society. In other words, they are stuck in the MATRIX and their minds cannot see out of it. These children and their parents are a blantant product of society and seem to have been created to be consumers and dependent on the government. We live in a monetary system which is fradulent and dishonest and these negative ways of being have filtered down throughout society until we get people rioting without any strong cause what so ever. Just pure sickening entertainment and opportunity to steal worthless products. I don’t recall any book stores like Waterstones or Foyles being looted. I wonder why? Even though the riots were hoffiric, what’s more worrying is the after effects. I wonder what will be put in place to stop anything like this happening again, to gain more control over people and to manipulate their thinking. Becareful of the media and its propaganda, because they’re just as sick as the looters.

    • I agree with your comment. I think that it’s up to us…the community to do something. To act as a community again, to make these individuals that don’t feel included feel part of the community. They’re being fed so many images promoting a fast route to money and fame. Promoting the wrong things messing up the morals and values they hold. The Government is blaming the police, the police are blaming the Government. Let’s leave them to play their silly games and take action ourselves

Agreed!!! It scares me to think that our children will potentially be mixing with these Gremlins. I fully realise now that parenting is a skill and raising a child/children in this world is bloody dfficult. But as the African says:
“It takes a village to raise a child”

Powerful call! I come for unity 🙂

  5. I came by to look at your site, so I could possibly see what the reason for your question regarding my poem “Dearest Wife” might be. The theme of your poems tells me you already know. The inspiration for the poem is the fact I think such a thing could happen. The U.S. is being shoved into a socialist/Marxist state so quickly it is mind boggling. I can easily see a time–not too distant–when resisters to the change will be eliminated. It has happened in almost every instance where a dictator has come to power over a nation divided. My belief is that a world government is being formed, and nothing going on at this time in your country or mine is an accident. Some of the comments–and your responses–to your poems are spot on; our governments and the welfare mentality have created a generation of confused and hopeless individuals, and they did so with intent of causing the rest of us to “need” the government to protect us from the anarchists they themselves created. I am beginning to ramble. Keep up the good fight.

    • no, no not at all please “ramble” some more, as you have pointed out we seem to be thinking along similar lines. I wrote a poem a couple of nights ago about some other current events in the World not sure whether or not to share though…as I only post a small portion of my work on my blog

  6. One more thing; please feel free to share my poem with your readers.
